Panamerican Woods
Since its founding in 1986, Panamerican Woods has earned high marks in quality hardwood flooring manufacturing and industrial-scale reforestation. The result is a responsible corporate citizen that is both profitable and community-driven. The Panamerican plantation lies in Guanacaste, a Northwest province of Costa Rica, and comprises nearly 10,000 acres (3,800 hectares), which includes a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Panamerican Wood products are sold under two brand names throughout North America and Europe: the Monteverde Collection and RealTeak.
All teak flooring from Panamerican Woods has been Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified since 2000. The certification is a matter of pride and success for the company. The FSC certification features a program called Chain of Custody Certification Process, which tracks the wood through all avenues from factory to consumer. The tracking process ensures that products bearing FSC certification actually come from "well managed" forests.
