Bio-Flloor by Earth Weave Carpet Mills

Most carpet is not biodegradable. Each year, millions of old bolts of carpet are ripped up from the floors of American homes and sent to landfills, where they’ll stay for the next 10,000 years, only to be replaced with brand-new, non-renewable, non-biodegradable, chemical-laden carpet. We can’t change the past, but we can put our foot down and support only those manufacturers who care about our planet – manufacturers like Earth Weave.

Earth Weave’s pure wool carpets, area rugs and padding are 100% natural and completely nontoxic. They use zero dyes, zero pesticides and zero Scotchgard. This is the only carpet a parent should let their baby crawl on.

The Bio-Floor is made with strong cotton and durable hemp backing, which is biodegradable and immune to mold & mildew. The secondary backing is made from jute, another natural biodegradable fiber. They use VOC-free natural adhesive from the rubber tree to adhere the wool to the backing.

Made with British wool from free-range sheep, this 100% natural pure wool carpet is high-quality, rich in color and comes in unique patterns. Although some wool carpets are scratchy, the Bio-Floor is so soft that you could put this carpet in a nursery.

Bio-Floor wool carpet comes in four styles:
