They allow you to set regular programs for weekdays, weekends, and even vacations and other overrides. The Hunter 44110 model is Energy Star compatible, and inexpensive compared to a lot on the market (between $17 and $25 from several online vendors). Of course, I always encourage shopping around a bit--you can find some great deals on these, making the savings that much better.
