Natural Cork, part of the US Floors product line, offers a wide variety of sustainable flooring products made from cork. Some of the cork is recycled from the wine industry and some comes from low-quality bark granules. Whatever the source, Natural Cork takes the material, binds it with resin and heats the mixture under compaction to produce a very dense and durable material. The cork flooring product is then waxed, varnished and urethane- or acrylic-coated. US Floors also offers Natural Cork in three price ranges for any look or budget.
Natural Cork Product Features:
- Parquet Tiles: 12" x 12" or 12" x 24" zero-VOC UV Acrylic finish
- Floating Floor System: Surface is 100% Cork with UV Acrylic finish. Middle layer is MDF (medium density fiberboard) for density and tongue-and-groove joints. Base layer is attached cork underlayment for sound-reduction capabilities. Contains no PVC (polyvinylchloride).
- Underlayment/Acoustic Insulation: Over 50 dB sound reduction, which meets or exceeds multi-level code requirements in all applications.
- Variety of finishes and styles to accompany any flooring wood species, or as a standalone application.
Note: Cork Bark renews itself, so cutting down trees is not necessary.
