Rainwater Hog Modular Tanks
A couple months ago, I wrote about rainwater harvesting as a great way to save water at home, making use of water that would like end up in storm drains. One problem with rainwater harvesting, particularly for people with smaller homes or smaller plots, is where to store it. Rainwater barrels can be cumbersome, and sometimes even an eyesore. Some friends of mine live in a townhouse, with just a tiny back yard patio--they wanted to collect rainwater from their roof, but where could they keep it?
Rainwater HOG or (H2OG) has come up with a solution: modular water storage. With these tanks, one can store water along walls, and passages, and even under decks. The multiple-tank set up makes it easy to adjust the storage amount to the available area, maximizing your water conservation while minimizing costs and hassle.
There are two different options of tank material: one made partially from recycled plastic, which stores water for re-use in the garden, laundry or toilets; the other is made from food-grade plastics, and with proper filtration can be used for potable water in the home! (Off-grid living, here we come!)
As the rainy season hits and you're thinking about how to not let all that water go to waste, check out Rainwater Hog for storage.
