Trans-Ash was founded in 1970 and has grown to a heavy equipment
operating fleet. As the industry leader in CCP (Coal
Combustion Products), the company specializes in landfill management, active
ash pond excavation construction, fill applications and excavation. Trans-Ash
has also recently added a dredging division and a sister company, Gibbco, which
specializes in boiler slag products. They are charter members of the EPA C2P2
program, members of the American Coal Ash Association (ACAA), and on the board
of the Midwest Coal Ash Association (MCAA).
Trans-Ash Econo-Fill is a turnkey solution that uses CCP in place of
other unavailable fill materials. Econo-Fill is a low-weight,
low-settlement fill option that helps reduce the effect of fill on underlying
soils, as well as provide stability for surface projects. The Trans-Ash
Econo-Fill program provides a comprehensive structural fill program, complete
with permitting and public relations. As the leader in
total ash management, Trans-Ash has utilized the Econo-Fill program to place
over 4 million tons of CCPs and develop over 200 acres of property.
