I have had a business in Architectural Sustainable Design for the last 25-30 years. Good design starts with passive solar and high insulation, then considers how to manage efficiently the remaining energy and living requirements according to the lifestyle of the clients and the area the structure is to be placed.

I found in the boom times it was difficult to get a home priced without committing to the builder first, now they are much keener for the projects and their minds are open.
We have increased our work load in Architectural Design, which equates to panel sales, and therefore more interest in the Licences/Franchises we offer.
People make better quality decisions when the economy is down and of course the increased awareness re the environment, people are better informed now days.
