About

AENA has the knowledge and experience to work with any private, corporate, or institutional client in order to design and build a LEED certifi ed new building or renovation. We will also help clients retrofi t or upgrade their existing buildings for a greater level of energy efficiency and assist in obtaining funding to implementany upgrades.

For LEED certification projects, AENA will work with the client to determine what credits are within reach for the project and whether changes and additional costs will be needed to obtain a higher level of certifi cation. LEED accreditation may increase the initial cost of the project, but AENA will help to find the cost cost effective way to achieve this goal by understanding the project parameters, using the latest technology cost effectively, and working with our client to establish reasonable and achievable goals within the available budget.

Our design-build capabilities allow AENA to integrate innovative sustainable concepts without many of the costs normally associated with innovation in construction, since this project delivery method does not separate design and implementation. Our team includes architects, engineers, fi nancial managers, and trades- eople, assuring there will be no gap in communication between design and construction allowing full and cost-effective intgration of sustainable concepts in our design and construction processes. We take full advantage of the expertise of our highly trained and experienced trades-people for innovative construction techniques that are not possible with traditional bid build project delivery because of the level of control we have in both design and implementation.

AENA uses the latest energy modeling software, to develop a cost benefi t analysis that will show the utility cost savings of every design decision. We are active in the sustainable and building energy performance community to keep up to date with new technology and to fully understand all available sustainable strategies.

For all buildings, whether LEED certification is desired or not, AENA will provide a comprehensive review of a property for sustainability that will maximize comfort and air quality while minimizing utility costs. Although energy effi ciency and environmental conservation are the main goal of our sustainable services, AENA recognizes there are costs associated with every decision. AENA has knowledge of the existing sustainable tax credits, incentives, and low interest loans and has worked with NYSERDA and other organizations in the past to obtain rebates and funding for our clients.
